When getting dressed for your helicopter tour, wear dark-colored clothing. Our helicopters are temperature-controlled, so you’ll be comfortable, and dark colors help reduce reflections in the windows.
So you get clearer views and better photos without any bright colors. Hats aren’t allowed on the helicopters as they can get caught in the rotors, but we are happy to hold onto yours until you get back!
If your tour involves landing, wear closed-toed shoes like sneakers. Bring a sweater just in case it gets cold.
Bring your camera or phone (leave it on airplane mode) so you can snap everything! Even if you’re buying our in-flight video, you’ll want to have your own images for keep-sakes.
FAA rules require all passengers and their carry-on items to be weighed at check-in. If you’re over 240 pounds and a standard airline belt is too small for you, you may have to buy a comfort seat on our FX STAR. If you’re between 240 and 290 pounds, we advise open seating on the WhisperSTAR, and if you’re over 290 pounds, you may need a comfort seat on the WhisperSTAR.
In the case of children, kids under 2 years can fly for free but will need to sit on an adult’s lap. Remember to provide the child’s weight at the time of booking. Children above age 2 will be charged full fare and given their own seat.
Try to arrive at the venue and check in at least 45 minutes before your tour starts. Also, don’t forget a photo ID!
As for cancellations, please give us 72 hours’ notice if you need to change your plans for a full refund. Weather-related cancellations will also get a full refund, but if you cancel last minute or, in the case of a no-show, you’ll be charged the full price.
Same-day bookings are non-refundable. Flight routes can change due to weather conditions, so flexibility is key!
Hazardous explosives and flammable liquids are not allowed on board. Check out the FAA’s ‘pack safe’ guidelines page if you’re unsure.

From eye-catching waterfalls to rugged volcanic views, there’s nothing quite like it, and better yet, from the sky!
